I work with the BLAKE team as a Virtual Reality Environmental Educator inspiring students to care for, and take action to protect marine environments. I was first involved with BLAKE as a BLAKE Ambassador in February 2016, working on biodiversity projects with DOC and Hawkes Bay Regional Council.
I graduated from the University of Otago with a BsC majoring in Ecology and Zoology in 2016. Since studying I have worked across the environmental sector including as part of the Policy team at Waikato Regional Council, and most recently as an Environmental Consultant at 4Sight Consulting. At 4Sight Consulting I worked with the Ecology team to deliver the field component of Watercourse Assessment Reports across Auckland.
I love being outdoors and engaging people with our environment. My main hobbies include surfing and tramping. Alongside this I volunteer as a guide on Tiritiri Matangi Island, and with the Disabled Surfers Association. I have also volunteered abroad with a non-profit organisation in Malawi, working with youth in rural communities to educate them about the environment and sustainable farming practices.
