In partnership with Yachting New Zealand, BLAKE Inspire for Sailors brings together 20 young sailors from yachting clubs all over New Zealand for a week-long, ocean experiential learning adventure in Auckland.

During the week, delegates will learn about topical environmental issues facing New Zealand from inspiring experts in the field and heroes from within environmental and sailing communities. They experience sailing on board Sir Peter’s legendary Steinlager 2 in the Hauraki Gulf, go snorkelling in a marine reserve, visit pest-free Tiritiri Matangi Island to experience a thriving ecosystem, learn about the legacy of Sir Peter Blake, take part in marine science field trips with some of New Zealand’s leading scientists and marine experts while spending time with Emirates Team New Zealand.

Most importantly, sailors return home with new friends, networks and leadership capabilities and strategies to start driving positive change and start leading a sustainable future within their communities and sailing clubs.
