Amy Burney

BLAKE NIWA Ambassador - Climate/Atmosphere

I’ve spent my last three years studying for my Bachelor of Science at the University of Canterbury in the Physical and Chemical Sciences department during which time I’ve discovered my main interest is in the boundary between physics and chemistry. I have always had a passion for the environment and especially excited to use the skills I’ve learnt through Chemistry and Physics to make a difference in any way I can. In my spare time I love anything that gets me outdoors be it rock climbing, hiking or canyoning but also enjoy many different crafting activities too. I’m really excited to learn about the science done at NIWA and meet all the awesome people that put their time into making a difference, I’m also excited to see where this next chapter of my life following my undergraduate degree will take me and hope in the future to be able to do my part in preserving this amazing world we live in.
