André Lovatt

Chair

André Lovatt has had a career spanning executive roles across the Asia Pacific construction and infrastructure sectors, including leadership in high-performance teams, major capital programs, and transformational change.

He is the CEO of Leighs Construction and Director of Eastland Port. At Leighs, he leads the national construction company to build assets that enable people, communities, and businesses to thrive. At Eastland Port his role on the governance team focuses on ensuring infrastructure investment aligns with environmental responsibility, commercial value, and the evolving needs of the Tairāwhiti region and beyond. André is passionate about regional development, strategic infrastructure, and the role of private enterprise in delivering long-term public value.

He was the former chair of Regenerate Christchurch, the organisation tasked with planning the redevelopment of the 500 ha residential ‘red zone’, and chief executive of the Arts Centre of Christchurch, a UNESCO award winning restoration of the largest collection of heritage buildings in New Zealand.  Following this he received a BLAKE Leader award in 2015.

His experience also includes four years as a director of Christchurch International Airport, and an involvement in the delivery of a number of significant infrastructure projects in Singapore, including the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort and the Singapore Sports Hub.
